The average income per person in 1999 for Louisiana was $16,912. By 2007 the income was $35,100. The average income in each household was $43,635 in 2008. The percentage of Louisiana residents living in poverty in 2008 was 17.6%. The total personal income for the state in 2007 was $153,504 (in millions of dollars).
