The total area of the land in DuPage County is 333.61 square miles. There are on average 2,707 people living within each square mile of the county. In 2000 there were 904,161 people living in the county within 325,601 households (averaging 2.73 people in each household) but by 2009 the population had increased to 932,541 with an estimated 3.1% change.

The average income per person in 1999 for DuPage County, IL was $31,315. By 2007 the income was $55,371. The average income in each household was $77,040 in 2008. The percentage of DuPage County residents living in poverty in 2008 was 5.8%. The total personal income for the county in 2007 was $51,286 (in millions of dollars). The average per job earnings was $60,761 in 2007.
